About Frisco CaresFrisco Cares Children’s Clinic was created in 2005 to address the growing healthcare needs of uninsured children in Frisco and surrounding communities. Frisco Cares is a low-cost health clinic for uninsured children, 18 and younger, living in or attending school in Frisco, Celina, Prosper, or Little Elm. Today, Frisco Cares has 5 volunteer physicians, several volunteer registered nurses, and over 70 non-medical volunteers who are dedicated to helping children in need. During the 2008 school year clinic volunteers provided thousands of hours of volunteer time providing services for over 450 uninsured children. Since inception in 2005 Frisco Cares Children’s Clinic has more than doubled the number of new patients treated each year. The Clinic is located at 6811 Oak Street each Wednesday. Appointment cards are available at 5 PM and our physicians begin seeing patients at 6 PM. The cost per child is $5 to see a physician and prescribed medications are free. Proof of residency (utility bill) or school enrollment (report card) is required. Healthcare is only available for children without health insurance including Medicaid and CHIP. |
